Who is behind FewohBee

There's no corporation behind FewohBee — just someone who knows the industry from the inside: I grew up in a guesthouse and ran it myself at times, for years with a reservation book, paper, a typewriter and eventually a PC full of disconnected tools.

As a software developer I quickly saw how much time that handwritten daily routine costs – and how little affordable, fitting software there is, especially for smaller guesthouses, B&Bs and holiday rentals. That's exactly why FewohBee was built: a property management system that truly understands the day-to-day of small operations.

The goal: bring all your information together in one place, noticeably cut down daily admin and leave more time for your guests. FewohBee is open source and free to use – with the Cloud we additionally take hosting, updates and backups off your hands.

Your own web address – how it works
Your FewohBee is reachable straight away under its own address (e.g. your-house.app.fewohbee.app ) – with no setup at all. On the Komfort plan you can run the entire application under your own (sub)domain instead (e.g. fewohbee.your-house.com ) – both the management app and the booking page. This requires a one-time small entry at your domain provider (a CNAME): you copy it in the management portal with one click, add it wherever you manage your domain (or have your web person do it) and click “Verify”. We take care of the rest. The FewohBee address always remains as a fallback.

For most operations, “Start” is entirely sufficient. “Komfort” is mainly worthwhile if you want FewohBee to be available under your own web address – e.g. fewohbee.your-house.com instead of a FewohBee address – or if several team members work at the same time and many booking requests need to be processed. Redundant operation of FewohBee also provides greater resilience. Setup is straightforward, and we guide you through it step by step; your existing website remains untouched. Larger properties with high volume can simply get in touch.

Yes, on the Komfort plan. FewohBee is then fully reachable under your own (sub)domain – e.g. fewohbee.your-house.com, for the management app as well as the booking page – including an SSL certificate. Technically this requires a one-time small DNS entry (a so-called CNAME) at your domain provider. In the management portal we show you the exact value with a copy button; you add it at your domain provider – or have it done by whoever manages your website – and click “Verify”. This usually takes only a few minutes. If you don't want to or can't use your own domain, FewohBee remains reachable under your FewohBee address (e.g. your-house.app.fewohbee.app) – so you can get started right away in any case.

Yes. You manage your availability in FewohBee and sync it via iCal with the common portals. FewohBee focuses on commission-free direct bookings through your own site. As the iCal sync runs at regular intervals rather than in real time, it is ideal for a manageable booking volume and connecting one or a few portals. For many portals and high volume, a true channel manager integration is planned – it will follow at a later point.

No. Cancel monthly. The annual plan is voluntary and saves a month.
